Atlantis Florida is a small city in southern Palm Beach County that is only about 1.4 square miles, located just southwest of Lake Worth, adjacent to the John Prince Park. Originally, the area that has become Atlantis was known as the cattle ranch of Mulberry Farms, which was purchased in 1958 and planned to become the most aesthetic golf and country club in south Florida. The majority of the city of Atlantis is occupied by the Atlantis Inn and Golf Club, which contains a state of the art 18-hole championship golf course, and some of the best Palm Beach county real estate. A small portion of Atlantis was devoted to municipal and commercial development, but by and large the city has maintained its oasis atmosphere.
